Data Science is a fast-growing sector within the workplace successfully adding value to businesses by using statistics and a clear understanding to make better decisions. A growing number of companies are now hiring data scientists to analyse data and use the information to make predictions and minimise risks to the organisation.

This programme is designed by experts in their field for students with a passion for Data Science. The module delivery will have an innovative approach that will include group discussions, workshops and guest speakers to enrich, enhance and develop the overall teaching and learning experience.

The primary focus of the programme is on the application and interpretation of modern data analysis techniques of known value in today’s professional world, both in the private and public sectors. As part of the course, you will receive tuition on industry standard software and hardware specific to the programme. You will also be given the opportunity to work on live projects with industry innovators, and guest speakers from the industry will give you a clear insight into the roles available.

This specialised course in Data Science and Big Data Analytics prepares students to become data experts able to make sense of large amounts of data gathered by businesses in order to inform their business strategy. You will learn the ethical implications and regulations of handling consumer data.

Trip to Frankfurt (Germany)

Frankfurt is among the world’s largest data hubs of its kind. In Europe, only Amsterdam and London are similarly important data hubs. More than 700 national and international networks meet in Frankfurt to observe their Internet traffic. During the programme, you will visit the city and learn about data traffic and hubs. Entertainment is also a part of the trip as well as conferences and workshops.

Impact PAID internship

With the ‘impact internship’ students will have the opportunity to complete a paid placement within a company.

This will allow you to work full-time in an organisation of your choice. The internship will last 6 months for a minimum of 25 hours a week.

This is a chance for students to gain experience alongside their studies, earn credits for their achievements, and stand out on the job market. At the end of your placement, you will have to write a report.

Entry requirements

At King Stage, we seek individuals with intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to contribute. To ensure your success with us, here are the following entry criteria we look at:
You will be required to provide an Honours Degree of at least 2:2 classification or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a subject other than Computer Science.

If you are a mature applicant, you will be considered for entry if you can demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, and have A Levels/IB or equivalent.

Non-native speakers must provide proof of their proficiency in English. We require an IETLS score of at least 6.0/B2 equivalent in TOEFL. Alternatively, we can provide you with an English Language Level Test to confirm your level.

We offer the possibility to follow all of our Master’s programmes on a part-time basis. The length of each programme is extended to 18 months which allows more flexibility for the students.

We may consider candidates from a non-traditional academic background, on the basis of relevant work experience (minimum 2 years). After a review of your application and an interview, we will be able to confirm your eligibility for our programme.
